I'm really in 2 minds after doing a lot of research whether or not to get my 10 yr old terrier vaccinated. I would be really interested in what others do. Many thanks

I’m not sure why you would suddenly stop at 10. Some people don’t vaccinate. You can titre test but not for lepto.

Like humans the most at risk from the diseases that are vaccinated against are the very young, the elderly and the immunocompromised.
Distemper, hepatitis and Parvo most practices are using prolonged vaccination schedules for these.
Lepto passed on in rats urine we know Protection is only about 15 months in duration. I have nursed several dogs with Lepto over the years the middle aged dogs we are able to save with intensive treatment as an in patient, the elderly unfortunately they just can't make it and despite strenuous efforts we invariably lose them.

Nope I don't. Titre test my dogs. for the main vaccinations.

But make a guess with Lepto not scientific and probably wrong but I had a dog with lepto vaccinations up to date that died of Lepto so I do have a warped view

Lepto vac protects against certain strains.

I don't think your insurance covers them if they are not vaccinated

I always have, current dog's about 13 & just had her booster. They're on core 3yearly & lepto annual regime.
If they did catch anything that could be prevented with vaccination I couldn't afford treatment as their insurance wouldn't cover it. I have considered titre testing instead but am on a budget & would be more, i wouldn't opt for doing nothing at all & hoping have some immunity.
