Help! Separation anxiety?

Hi all

Am really in need of some advice. Pup 11 weeks old and is an absolute joy. We have had him beside our bed for the last 3 weeks. He will happily go into his crate and mostly sleeps all night. On the odd night we need to take him to the loo he cries and cries until who ever took him goes straight back to bed straightaway (I often visit the loo myself once he has woken me). I was hoping to move him to another room soon but I’ve no idea how we will accomplish this without nights of crying.

Leaving him alone in his crate during the day is also pretty hit and miss. Yesterday I put him in with kong etc and he settled down until we went back an hour later. Today however he has cried, howled etc from within 2 minutes of being put in until I eventually retrieved him (in a brief moment of quiet!)

What am I doing wrong?

We have a 15wk old puppy and she isn’t massively keen on the crate. She will sleep in there at night with it covered and go in during the day but creates a right noise until I tell her ‘no’ firmly and ignore her, the length of the noise has decreased but it is very annoying!

Forgot to say that her crate is in the kitchen, if she was near us she would be constantly trying to get us and our attention, so we have her in the kitchen
