How to stop my dog snatching

My beautiful black lab is almost 12 and I've had her 2 years from the RSPCA.
It seems quite obvious that she's never been hand fed before and probably only ever been thrown treats as she literally snatches as soon as your fingers offer any food.

Don't get my wrong she's the softest dog in the world and so so loving it's just I'd like to get her out this snatching habit as it can come keen if she catches a finger.

I've discovered I'm pregnant so want to try and sort this now before tiny fingers are offering tasty treats!!

Any tips greatly appreciated please

My ddogs learned the word 'gently'. Took no time at all.
Hold a treat close to their mouth and don't let go til they stop grabbing!!

Could you hand feed some meals?
Or throw treats on floor?
TBH you shouldn't allow the dog near a small child holding food.

We taught ours to gently take food by first holding treats in a fist near his mouth which he could smell and we would wait until he stopped begging or trying to paw at it.

Then I would slowly open my fist but close it as soon as he made a move. We keep doing this until he eventually learnt he had to wait until I open my fist and told him he could have it. Now I can feed him the most high value food from my hands gently.

Hold it below head height.
