Hi all
We are looking to rent a cottage in the uk which will also allow our mini poodle, 2 toy poodles and by the summer we hope to have another rescue toy poodle but everywhere seems to have a maximum of 1/2 dogs.
Any ideas/ guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you 🐾

Have a look at Little Dumpledale, brilliant place which allows unlimited dogs and you can leave them for a few hours while you go out too which often isn't allowed. There's a hot tub and also an outdoor pool of the weather is good. In Pembrokeshire.

I haven't been here, but am planning to as soon as I can!
I follow them on fb, and it just looks so lovely.

If Ireland is a possibility, we have 4 dogs and have used this company a couple of times.

There is a very useful FB page called Dog Friendly Holiday Accommodation which does exactly what it says on the tin. You can either browse, or simply state what you're after and properties will let you know what they've got.

We've stayed at Little Dumpledale and didn't rate them that highly - good accommodation for dogs but it's expensive and human comfort is taken less seriously. We now stay elsewhere in that area with currently three dogs (four last year and previously) - however the venue has now closed its list to new bookings, so I can't share the details.

We have four dogs. We went on owners direct and emailed all the places we liked the look of that said they allowed/ considered pets. I bigged up what responsible owners we were, how they wouldn't be left alone in the property, how well trained they were, etc etc.

To our surprise almost everyone came back to us with a yes and we had our pick of places. It helped that it was out of season, mind you, very early spring in term time, and most places would have found it harder to get someone. I think we may have had more trouble in August! But well worth asking.

I easily find places to take three large hairy dogs, so I would imagine an email to owners of places that would accept three might well find some leeway for up to four small ones.

I have regularly used Grove Cottages - only Suffolk based really, but fabulous - and recently Cornish Horizons.

Grace Holiday Cottages have properties in Snowdonia, Devon, Derbyshire, Scotland and Derbyshire. They give 10% of their bookings to Many Tears Rescue and are really dog-friendly.

If you are considering Cornwall can recommend Wainsford Riverside Cottages (www.wainsford.com) near Liskeard. They also have a fb page Wainsford Riverside Cottages. No limit on dogs, cottages with enclosed gardens, parkland for lead walks and a 2.5 acre fenced paddock for off lead. Close to forestry and beaches. Also dog wash/drying area unlimited dog towels supplied.

Last summer we stayed in a wigwam along the West Highland Way with our beast. It rained the whole time. It was..... humid... (our girl is a cuddler... )
