Have you heard about this darling dog. Has had me in tears.

He's eighteen years old and was joined by many people and dogs on his last walk today.

My dog is 16 weeks but I had to have my almost 19 year old cat put to sleep three years ago so I get it.

DD thinks I'm crazy for reading something I knew would make me cry. I prefer that I still feel Blush.

I heard him on the radio and thought it was a beautiful thing to do. I don't even have any pets.

I actually cried reading all the #walkforwalnut tweets.
It really cheers me that people went down and shared walnuts last walk.

I was going to take my big silly dog to the beach with them but thought better of it.
I'd have been a sobbing wreck and I doubt that's what that poor man needed. So sad!

Apparently, according to this Telegraph Twit- having empathy for Walnut makes us "sick"

This is the problem with social media - stories that should be kept local and relatively low-key - which I am sure is what Walnut's owner expected - run and run
But no - caring and feeling sad about a lovely dog is definately not 'sick' and I for one care just as much about innocent children as I do about innocent dogs. They are not mutually exclusive.

There was a funeral recently for a little girl who had been found, she had been stillborn and her mum had never been traced.

Hundreds of people showed up to her funeral.

Caring about animals and caring about children are not mutually exclusive at all.

That article is ridiculous.

Why should Walnut's story be kept "local and low key"?

I think it's lovely that more people could hear about this dog.
