Our dog is coming up to 12 years old and we're trying to decide whether to get a second dog while we still have him or wait until oldie has (gulp) left us. I would prefer to get a rescue and probably therefore not a puppy but I'm not sure about how I would introduce the new dog to ours and whether they would get on. The dog we have now is the first one I've ever owned and we got him when he was 6.
Has anyone had experience of this and what would you recommend?
