This is much harder than I thought. We have been to 4 rescues now, some more than once. We already have a female, 10 month old large breed & we desperately want another.
We know we want a smaller breed, but one that can match her energy wise (she needs at least 2hrs exercise per day). We've looked at a cocker, a pointer, a terrier crossbreed & another large breed, but we've never been able to make a decision.
We we're set on the pointer but at the 2nd meet we discovered it was food aggressive & didn't seem to like our girl. We fell in love with a the terrier crossbreed today but DH thought our girl might be too much for him.
How do you know when it's the right one?
