...which is in a similar vein to the things I swore I'd never do before I had children. It's quite embarrassing really.

Never feed the dog my leftovers. Particularly never let her lick my plate clean.

No dog of mine would ever have free rein to jump on the sofa. God forbid she would ever sleep on my bed. Oops.

I would never let her do disgusting face licking kisses. (But she's just so cute when she does it).

She would only eat the highest quality food the fussy bugger will only eat Bakers, after much trial and error .

I'm sure there are more.

No dog of mine would ever beg for scraps at the table. and they certainly wouldn't be eating any.

Ddog isn't permitted on the bed but 'no dogs on the sofa' is now 'dogs always sleep on the sofa but may be expected to share it with humans on occasion'.

The floors will be vacuumed as often as necessary to keep them fur free. My new flooring was specially chosen to match the golden retriever. Saves effort.

I'm pretty strict about feeding left overs as they are so greedy and would be obsessed with waiting for them!

They all go on the sofa but only in the kitchen/diner. Not allowed on the sofa in the lounge ( new posh duresta ) no sleeping on beds either as DH has asthma and night times is where he struggles but to be honest if it were up to me I'd have them up.
