Advice about a very needy lab cross

My lad is so needy. He constantly paws and licks me. He doesn't leave my side. He can be fast asleep at my feet and I only have to reach for my cup of tea or alter position and he wakes and stands up in anticipation of following me. He literally follows every step I take even if it's one.
He gets lots of walks and has lots of company from husband, teenager , cat and another dog. But it's me that he's very attached too.
He has a lovely personality. I'm worried that his neediness is causing him to be anxious. Is this just his personality or is there something I can do to help him. Thanks

i think its a lab thing, mine's the same. Although I stopped him nuzzling and drooling on me by telling him "leave" and moving his head away.

Lab cross here too, my boy is very needy around me but is fine if I'm not there.

A lot of the working breeds are like it. My MILs lab & retriever were both similar, they were fine when they were left. My current St is a pro at being fast asleep & snoring until I leave the room.
