What else haven't I thought of?

No idea how but the pups (7 months) managed to prise the sky cable away from the wall outside yesterday and eat it. Gits. Now it's repaired and covered as are all other wires, the outside bits of the heating and the waste pipes from the kitchen as it was becoming tedious having to find and refit them before I turned the washing machine on.

Also fitted yet another bolt on the inside of the gate thanks to Asda Man letting them out this week and taking an hour to find them miles away.

Previously they've obviously eaten the stairs, the wall, shoes, bras, socks, dishcloths, the drier door, picnic table etc. - well I say 'they' but it's dickhead smart pup mainly responsible for all devastation. This is despite them being outside mostly since April and not having access to anything further than the hall thanks to 3 gates, apart from when kids don't close said gates obviously! And they have crates. No idea how you people without crates do it Envy

What other expensive things have I missed to proof? Wasn't expecting to lose that £30 today to the aerial man.

Well ddog2 went through five 50 inch flatscreen TVs in under 48 hours when we first rescued him (he thought they were attacking us), so I feel your pain. When we had chewers I used to spray things I didn't want chewed with some of the pet stop chewing spray stuff, used to work a treat.

I've never used crates with any of our dogs, but I doubt we would find crates big enough for our current three hellbeasts anyway.

Our previous ddog ate his way through a staicase (bottom 5 stairs plus hand rail and spindles), a fire place and 2 fire surrounds, 3 door frames and 2 doors , laminate flooring and curtains. Our most recent dog had a crate Wink

I know Adarajames Grin lucky in a way as NEVER doing pups again though. They don't care about the spray anymore Hellbeasts but it did work initially which was handy when they had the razor teeth.

They ate my son's coat today, well the inside and pulled out all the quilting - gonna be one hell of a job to repair. They only have access to the hall with the front door open and the outside. It was getting a bit chilly and they have worked out how to open gates on rooms downstairs by pushing head under gate and bashing it up. And obviously they can open doors with the handle.

Have ordered them kennels so they can stay outside with the door closed now in the day. And at night they have their giant crates which they love, but only at night.

I now fully understand how there are so many fully grown young dogs seemingly untrained. The training is never ending sob People keep saying at a year they become more liveable with, I don't think I understand that.

Oh, and the stair gate is battered down by the pair of them to form a ramp for them to run upstairs at great speed whenever the fancy takes them!

Collie x FCR. The destructive one is all collie though.
