Hi I took my pug to the vet on Saturday because I saw blood in her wee and I'd noticed her going more and weeing in house too (which I attributed to the bad weather outside Blush)

Anyway she had a shot of penicillin and has been prescribed nisamox 250, plus metacam for pain.

I'm still seeing blood though and it looks like her wee is darker now, plus she is still going in dribs and drabs.

Is this normal and will it settle? I mean, I wondered if any vets are around?

:)

You should have seen an improvement now so I would get back in contact with your vet.

I've been back to the vets and she's got to have further tests. Ultrasound and something else I can't remember. I'm so worried.

The vet is rightly non committal, he did say it could be any number of things but that it is a lot of blood in urine.

I don't know what to think Sad

When is she having more tests? It sounds similar to what my spaniel had the last few weeks. They scanned her on Wednesday and found a massive bladder stone. She's recovering from the op well now.

For the last few weeks she has had crystals in her urine samples. Have you had this done?

I'm taking her in on Monday morning. She hasn't had any tests yet, they treated as cystitis at first with nsamox.

The bleeding however has got worse and so she's having an ultrasound and a cysto something or other.

Glad your dog is feeling better Smile
