Showing affection

How does your dog show affection? Mine licks my ears (I hope it's affection).

mine comes onto my lap and rolls onto her back for a stroke
she does lick me sometimes but it's kind of when she's pushing her luck and a wee bit nervous i think

my favourite is her whole body wag when i come home ...after being away for 5 minutes

my jrt2 pushes his head into the crook of my neck and also licks my face he sits in the crook of my legs generally. JRT1 will cuddle right up close whenever im sitting down, especially if im on the toilet sort of jumps up and cuddles in as close as he can, or will lay on his back on my lap.

When he comes up on the sofa for a snuggle and puts his head on my shoulder and really leans in sniffing loudly behind my ear and in my hair. All 45kgs of him. And the contented sigh he gives when he's settled down next to me and my hand is jus testing on him while I read. Bliss.

Yes he will sit near me and roll over for a belly stroke as well, and lie on the back of my chair against my shoulder.

Mine likes to lick as well only he likes to lick the inside of my elbow or my wrist. Also likes to lie across the back of my shoulders and rest his head on my chest when he's nervous, being a small dog I think it makes him feel safe.

He bangs his head against me...he has a big head, it's not as pleasant as he seems to think it is.
