Taking 'the next step' - recall

Dpup has almost perfect recall in the house, and is pretty good when we practise in the (deserted) park (with minimal distractions). When do we take it to the next level and try somewhere with distractions etc? Any tips would be much appreciated. I'm VERY nervous about the whole thing really.

I would attach a long line (5-10m) to a harness and give it a go. If pup takes off you can step on it to avoid disaster.

We've been doing that on a 7m line and thats going ok. I think I just need to worry less.
