Anal gland removal op?

Has anyone's dog had this?

My poor girl is only five, but has been ill on and off pretty much for the past year. Nothing can really be found, apart from pretty much constantly full anal glands, sometimes with infection

The vet has been talking about the op to remove the glands. We were cautious,but now she seems unwell nearly all the time think it might be worth it.

We have tried various different diets for her, but apparently because of where the glands are in her it won't make much difference anyway.

So, just wondering if anyone has any experience of the op?

I am so worried, and she is ds' best friend.
