Hibiscrub - how to use?

I wondered if anyone has used hibiscrub? My poor hound had a bit an allergic reaction to some grass seed, I thought it had cleared up but it seems to have gone a bit crusty and I'm worried it's developing into a staph infection.

If it's not cleared up by the weekend we'll have to take him to the vet but I thought I'd try using hibiscrub in the mean time. Problem is the bottle is scary and I can't work out exactly how to use it - do you add a cap to the bath like bubble bath? Or rub it on neat like shampoo and rinse well? Any experiences would be great!

My vet instructed us to dilute it to one part in ten and use it to cleanse the specific area.

I was advised on a raw feeing page to dilute the same way as spicy

Can I ask where you bought it from? I've been told boots do it and it is highly recommended.

I have heard it recommended (by a posher vet than me) to dilute it to the colour of the Financial Times. I don't usually happen to have a copy of the FT available to use a colour chart though!

We use it on my mums cat ,who gets a stress related skin issue , and we dilute the same as spicy . Works a treat but you do have to rub to get the scabs off .

I work at a vets and you dilute it with water to a very very pale pink colour, don't use it neat.
Also, ensure you dry the area well.

Dilute it as previously described, and after cleaning use just wet cotton wool to remove any residue and then dry.

Thanks everyone! Have him his first hibibath this morning and used an exfoliating mitt to gently bring off the loose scabs. Looks much better already so hopeful a few more days will sort him out. Appreciate the advice!
