Dogs developed a cough after her boosters?

Took Hullygully in for her booster jabs this morning, she's been coughing/wrenching since then.

It's weird. She's fine when she's asleep, it's only when she's walking, it's like she's got something stuck in her throat and is trying to clear it Confused

Is this a normal side effect of the jabs everyone knows but me or am I going back to the vets in the morning.

She's seems fine other wise and is eating ok.

Gums off Grin

Do you know I think it could be kennel cough. Certainly the white phlegm would indicate it, but I'm sure she's had the vaccination spray before for it, and have no idea where it's come from Confused

I've took her collar off for tonight.

Do I take her to the vet if she might be contagious, or just keep her from other dogs?

I don't take mine unless he is actually ill ,he gets it regularly despite being vaccinated ,I think he is addicted to Tixylix though.

She seems fine. The vet told me last time she had a cough that some dogs get it it regardless of preventions.

She's a reverse sneezer so I'm used to weird noises.

They can still get it even vaccinated and the vaccine is annual.

It does sound like it - poor hully.

One of mine had it recently (we thought) and was sent away with metacam for discomfort from coughing and a cough medicine recommendation (I forget which one). In the end the cough only lasted three days and he was under the weather for less than two weeks, so fingers crossed.

Grrr. First gum now cough.

Thing is, she's Hully, whirling dervish of mayhem. So she's basically still acting like her but with intermittent retching Hmm haven't heard any coughing now she's tucked up in bed Smile (soft dog bed AND her own double duvet in the kitchen).
