Tbh it's easier and less confusing for pups to be trained to go outside straight off.

I also agree. I feel you train them once to go on the pads and then train them again to go outside. I just think skip the first step and save money.

We are using the garden mostly, she is doing really well. The pads are for a just incase, as the people we got her off were using them so she is used to them.

I'm with the don't bother with puppy pads gang - if you're pup is doing well in the garden, best not to confuse her with pads.

Sorry - I mean Wilkinson - apparently that's the proper name.

Whilst training to go outside is ideal if you sometimes need to leave them, then puppy pads are much easier to clear up after than newspaper.

My pup will only use the pad if the back door is closed.

She uses the garden majority of the time. If we happen to be out the room and she wakes and needs a wee she uses the pad.
