Ok so I'm practising recall with pup for half an hour on nearby field today and I need;

Collar & lead
Harness and long line
Gloves
Clicker, whistle and treats
HG toy as a reinforcement
Poo bags
Kitchen sink
Suitcase
Sherpa

Seriously it'll be weeks before I go out remembering everything, in fact even writing this now I've probably forgotten something!

To stop hands being hurt by longline (think cheese wire ;)

I was told you leave the long line trailing on the floor and stand on it when needed and walk along it to retrieve your errant hound! I have used it in this way and it saves your hands.

That was it. My dog is a beautifully behaved pooch who completed his bronze, silver & gold Kennel Club in two years. Hang in there, there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

I ditched the longline in favour of a couple of £5 notes in case I had to contribute toward people's dry cleaning bills.

Have to admit after using it the way its meant to be used for 2 mins she spent the majority of time right next to me playing tight with it and getting us in a right mess ah well will try again after lunch
