The doghouse

My dog just will not allow me to put these sodding eye drops in her eyes!!

She has to have them for a very nasty eye infection for another 3 days. Every day was getting harder and harder to put the drops in, but she point blank refused to let me come near her tonight.

We've tried bribing her with treats, pinning her down and distracting her. I'm now completely out of ideas.

Any suggestions?

Right get het on the sofa next to you let her relax next to you. Have the drops at the ready. Let her get nice and comfy stroke her head when you say her name she willlook at you and bingo squirt those drops in quick. Good luck hope it works my boy was a pain with his.

Second littlepumpkin, but she might even suss that out if she catches sight of the tube.

I have to put SpicyDog in the bath to stop her running away when I do her Advocate, if that would help? She pulls the "call the RSPCA, I'm being abused" face while I'm doing it.

I sit them next to me on the sofa. Put my arm round them, give them some gentle strokes under the chin, to put them off guard.Grin then when they're not expecting it hold their hair under the chin, tip their head back & squirt in the drops.

Forgot to mention the armlock round the head while holding their beard.

I just can't do it. I can't get the bloody things in. She's watching me like a hawk everytime I go near her now.

Back to the vets methinks.

Try a cream ? Worked with my children when they were younger...a thick smear over the eye?
