prescription from vets

One of my dogs needs regular medication, if I have found it cheaper on the net do I just ask vet for the regular prescription. How much would i be expected to pay for vet to do this??
The exact medication is a third of price from vets

Charge varies from vet to vet - anything from £5 to £15 would be quite usual.

Thats still quite a saving. Just feels a bit cheeky to ask them, but I guess it is more common these days
