QuietTiger has already put up a very helpful thread on what to do if you're an owner in need of a place of safety for your pet as a result of the riots. There is also a request for rescues and fosterers to come forward to take in these displaced pets until their owners can take them back.

This is to let you know what's going on with these animals and, pray to goodness, offer stories of hope.

My local rescue were due to take an English Bull Terrier victim of the Croydon riots and fires but now luckily the owner has identified somewhere they can go with their dog. Not so lucky for me who was looking forward to Saturday and cuddles with an EBT, a breed I very much like! So, now the next on the list is a traumatised Akita whose home was attacked whilst he and his owner were actually in it. :(

Hopefully I can come back (and QuietTiger plus anyone else who has any info) with some photos and news of how these victims are faring and recovering.
