What are your favourite kids tv progs/characters?

Getting bored of Pingu, Miffy & Thomas so wanting ideas of new ones to introduce to dd! Pref something that isn't really irritating for an adult, something not too sickly-sweet or banal (sp?)

Yellow Submarine. My kids love it. The music's good but the dailogue's a little dated.

What about videos\DVDs, my DSat the moment loves The Lion King, The Jungle Book and Chicken Run.

I meant vids/dvds really. We don't watch children's telly yet, it irritates me too much!
DD is only almost 2.
