DH turned it on briefly. Can't watch - I think I would end up in tears. Heart breaking.

It's so sad, I can't stop crying.

That poor girl, having a huge crowd of people stare at her.

Terribly sad, had to turn it over. What wonderful parents though.

Not much choice on t'other side tho' - Celebrity Love Island...time to do the dishes.

Was going to go to bed half an hour ago. Gonna stay up now and watch this.

Ah poor little mite. I feel like climbing in the tv and giving her a hug. What a lot for such a small child to go through. How the parents must be feeling too?
Gonna watch til the end now to see the outcome.
Terribly sad.

It's so unfair, why should these things have to happen.

That little girl is amazing, I cannot imagine what sort of a person she will grow in to.
I wish them all the luck in the world.

I am feeling so tearful now. An amazing story. I find it hard knowing that all that she went through and she couldn't communicate by talking or crying to show what pain she was in.

Something else to make me appreciate the wonderful girls that I have of my own.

Newbarnsleygirl · 16/05/2005 22:09

Yeah, thats what got me. When they were trying to sedate her for the scan and when they took her in to surgery. All you saw was her arms and legs struggling a bit. That broke my heart.

I watched this and had tears in my eyes. I also felt slightly guilty like i shoudlnt have been watching in a strange way. My heart goes out to the parents and family who show enormous strentgh and love to help their little girl though this.

Honestly, I think that with parents like that she will grow to accept who she is and just lead a normal life. I would imagine that she will be with her parents for a long time though.
As for protection, I don't think so. Theres always going to be some arse who throws a nasty comment or says something heartless.
