DDs absolutely love this programme. Ruby's whinging, winey voice drives me mad. And where are their parents???????????

I always feel an overwhelming urge to throttle them and stick them in a pie. Needless to say, ds1 and ds2 think it's great - despite ds1 calling it "Poopy and Max".

It's a firm fave with my ds too.

I've often wondered where parents are. Grandma makes an ocassional appearance though.

I don't like this show either. it just seems really boring.

I hate this programme I really do.

Max is an obstructive little, ahem, bunny who always gets his own way, or things turn out ok, despite him not doing what he's told. I particularly loathe the dragon shirt and getting the bus episodes in this regard. It is hardly a good message. Also the one word answers, DD1 used to copy it too! Grrr.

Ruby is just bossy and annoying.

Kids love it, but I have ruthlessly brought bathtime forward ("school nights"), so its been banished to weekend mornings only.

yeah, it's certainly crap. i just hope DS models himself on big cook, little cook! those guys are goofballs and the world simply needs more goofballs!

Nooooooo - I love it and so did dd (she's outgrown it now though). I especially loved that evil little look Max used to get when he was going to do something naughty.

Ds loves this too but I wish they had more episodes, if I have to watch Max's Breakfast one more time...!

Love the music throughout but Ruby's voice sets my teeth on edge.

Max and ruby is excellent, i agree ruby is a whinging old bat but max more than makes of for it. It's his facial expressions before he's about to do something naughty that get me

and i've always wondered where their parents are too (prob scarpered to get away from their daughters voice)

Ruby's voice annoys me too but the poor girl has a lot on her plate - bringing up her little brother single-handedly.

What era are they living in? I can never quite make it out. Must be 1930s or so. Dh loathes this show, hates bossy women in any shape or form. Ruby's voice & tone are the absolute end. To give her credit, she never loses her temper but that just makes her more unbearable, IMO. Dd has grown out of it, thank goodness but I miss Max's lobster. I also enjoyed the teaparty when Max replaces all of Ruby's nauseating dolly guests with his toys. Or when Ruby works in a sweet shop & makes herself ill.

mine used to love it but it has been supplanted by Peppa Pig in our household - we all LOVE Peppa, its fab.

me and my ds love max and ruby, there is a picture on the wall in their living room of max and ruby with their mum and dad, has anybody else noticed it, i think their parents work very long hours, and ruby bunks off school to take care of max.

glad to find the M&R hate club
dd won't go to bed either unless we let her watch at least one episode of it. Ruby is such a bossy cow! not surprising Max has to be crafty

Oh and peppa pig is dd's latest fav as well... she bolts through the flat singing/shouting 'peppa pig' .

I personally thing peppa series conveys a better 'role model' as far as that's possible with TV series

DS loves it - I hate it - I particulary hate all the Bunny Scouts. I'm sure Ruby is too young to be left in charge of a minor - lets call Social Services.

peppa hilarious - especially the one when George and Peppa are playing with the dollshouse and all George wants to do is put the dolls to bed

I HATE Max and Ruby. It is the one show I forbid DD from watching. I think it's the most sexist show I've seen in a long time. Mischievous max always getting his way. And, responsible Ruby, taking care of the child and having tea parties just like girls are supposed to.

GRRRRRR... I hate it hate it hate it (however, I realise there are not a lot of people who share this view with me -- I must be a radical closet feminist).
