when I last saw a Tchaichovsky concert, the society were there for effect, they are napoleonic era re-enactors and their cannon for the 1812 was very loud and unexpected but very effective and atmospheric!!

I'm going a week on Thursday for No 6. And this Weds. I've done quite well this year.

Jura, I don't know if you saw my post on the other thread, but I have a spare stalls ticket for Verdi's Requiem on Sunday evening if you (or anyone else) is interested.

I know how you feel jura, I haven't been out much for 3 years, studying too much and only going out with my son, but then I have a good knowledge of the play parks for a 20 mile radius!!

You're very welcome jura! Yes, drum man was going for it wasn't he! My tube journey home was great, the entire carriage was buzzing, and there were prommers on my train home too raving about how great it had been. Thursday (my last one this season) will have to be very very good to beat it.

Yes, that's the one. M1 permitting as I will be driving back from N Yorkshire earlier in the day. Am hoping I will have the energy to go back into town once I've chucked ds2 at the babysitter .
