It makes depressing viewing and there is no DoH short term solution. I can't see why would things change,... and I agreed with who ever said "it's the best midwives that are leaving"

Thanks for the link. Depressing reading though and made me quite angry too.

I left midwifery because I could no longer stand the increasingly medical approach. I knew I was finished the day a woman was "told off" in theatre for reaching down to touch her just delivered baby (from a ventouse delivery) and accidently touching the green drapes. I knew then that we'd lost the plot.

One of my friends left hospital midwifery because she was not allowed to spend any time with the mums reassuring them and talking to them.



She is a very caring and kind person but was not allowed to be in Maternity ward
