I like your rant. Although I'm sure Bagpuss did have moralising (wasn't Professor Yaffle usually shown up as a bit boastful or something?).

Don't really mind Cbeebies but the effing Tweenies bleating on about safety in the home do piss me off. As if only some berks who get their fashion tips from C&A circa 1976 can save children from idiot parents who think running with scissors is a good idea.

Public service ethos gone mad.

I object to all the healthy eating rubbish they spout, my children do not want half a cucumber carved into the shape of a shark for their tea they would like some shepards pie and peas with tomato sauce.

Ah, but they did have a song that went something like 'chocolate spread
is nice on bread
I'm having my favourite tea tonight.'

I know, it pisses me off too, and there isn't another advert-free channel that doesn't moralise at them all the time.

I love In The Night Garden. No morals at all.

And the Pontipine children are often downright naughty, and never get their comeuppance!

Report
Greensleeves · 23/02/2008 17:49

Whotf are the Pontipine children?

Report
colditz · 23/02/2008 17:50

The Pontipines are annoying, and why don't we see their neighbours, the Wottingers, more often?

Tom loves the Tittifers, but do they do toys of them???
