BBC 1's Jekyll - put me out of my misery and tell me what happened in the last episode... PLEASE

i somehow managed to miss the episode and then friend sky+ it for me but her machine deleted it because it was full. dont want to buy the DVD but desperate to know what happened - who/what is Jekyll??

Trying to remember

The twins managed to switch bodies or something - so there is something going on with them.

Old woman (his mother) plus scary boss are the same person (another jekyll and hyde).

Big shootout where Hyde took loads of bullets (as he was the stronger) to save the children and possibly wife - therefore showing that he had some emotional connection to them.

Jekyll survived but I don't think Hyde did. Or at least was surpressed.

What he actually is and what the twins are were left hanging for anotehr series (which is planned or was).

Loved the whole thing.
