dire....

They think they do these things so well on EastEnders and it's just so pretentious!

I only caught the end - thought it was quite good actually I'd heard about it on the arty programme on R4 a couple of days before so I thought it might e worth wathcing (such a snob )

I haven't watched EE for ages and only caught a few minutes. Where is Jim? Is there something wrong with the actor?

I don't get these two hander things they do - indulgent and dull...the actor who plays Jim has had a stroke,so they've written it into the storyline and Dot was recording a tape for him so he could hear familiar voices etc

once i'd got over the need for escapist shoutings from larger than life characters and accepted that an incredibly well shot, acted and moving programme was being forced upon me, i really liked it -wept buckets though, specially at the bits when she says that she can't decide which is worse; watching the children that are loved or the ones who are just ignored or shouted at

I actually thought it was quite moving.
If more people think about those that have no-one and appreciate their friends and family more while they still have them, it can't be a bad thing....
