Bloody Rose - I can understand her mouthing off after the cemetery and with all the strain of looking after Conor, well maybe understand it a bit more but she was still telling Bennet's boss he'd been up to no good.

Unforgivable that she'd then quite coolly went on about it when they had that walk

We haven't seen him before have we? He's now supposed to be an old childhood friend.

I was v v v v shocked at Bennet's death, and don't think he'll pull a Reid and survive.

LS/C's father must have written the message. Or not? It is a bit Agatha Christie, and why single out Reid when his daughter was involved, and Jackson whom he presumably hated more.

Surely they can't actually kill him off? I mean, I know it looked pretty final but how can the series continue without him? They are definitely doing at least one more after this so how can he be dead? (Denial, denial, denial,)

Also, bloody Rose! How could she? I know sleep deprivation is a terrible thing and I can forgive her the mad scene in the street but telling Dove about the cellar in the cold light of day was a shocking betrayal. And completely out of character - I'd always really liked her until that point, unlike Susan who I'd have happily seen swing.

Was that the last episode this series? Usually there are 8 aren't there?

Definitely Swift who wrote the message. Presumably he pointed the finger at Reid because he was the Detective Inspector at the time and so the one in command?

Finally got around to watching "that episode". Poor Bennett, not sure he could survive that. Edmund should turn round and polish off Susan and Jackson too.

Drummond and Thatcher could play bigger parts in the next series. I like those two. Hope it comes back soon! Can't get enough of Edmund

To answer my own question, according to Wikipedia there should be two more episodes this season. So we only have to wait until Friday to find out...

I preferred it when Reid, Drake & Jackson were solving murders and J was 'inventing' forensics.

Heh? Only 2 more episodes? Hope the ratings/streaming thingies are good & there's another series. Do think it's v underrated, though 'spose Amazon did pick it up when the bloody BBC dropped it.

I thought there was another series after this to come, am I wrong? Apparently they want to take it to the end of Victoria's reign.

It looked fatal to me btw, and I haven't liked Bennett as much this series as previous ones. He's let his promotion go to his head.

There's another series after this one, then I think they'll knock it on the head. I think Susan/Caitlin has to die in this series - I don't think she's redeemable and there's nowhere for Jackson's storyline to go with her.

I like Rose, I think she's the only decent one in it. I'm sure I saw stills with Jerome Flynn in character that haven't been shown yet, I wouldn't count him out yet.
