b/c this is how it works, 7. and that is WHAT people need to see.

it is NOT a happy ending for hundreds of thousands of people.

it's a fucking nightmare.

and until people SEE that, nothing will be done.

BITCH BITCH BITCH - "make your own arrangements"

sorry

Report

So break up the family, cost the taxpayer THOUSANDS in B&B, tens of thousands more b/c the kids go off the rails and have no qualifications and go on to live on benefits b/c of their childhood.

that's really thinking long-term, New Labour.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Report
7swansaswimmingup · 29/11/2006 23:12

that is disgusting, as if they would make themselves homeless, some might, but not with the kids the mothers health, absolutely fucking disgraceful andthat bitch on the phone was so heartless im bloody annoyed!

there was a thread on here a while back, similar situation.

the gal's landlord was selling up.

but he had to take her to court and formally evict them in order for them to be considered unintentionally homeless.

wtf?!

Report
expatinscotland · 29/11/2006 23:15

and the £££ signs keep rolling as we count the cost in the long-term.

another unskilled worker, a waste of a mind. wonder what the value of that is over the course of Sarah's working life?

Report
expatinscotland · 29/11/2006 23:18

And shite diets.

Let's calculate the price of that.

Let's see if Tony and Gordon can figure that one out.

We were almost made homeless b/c of tax credit cock up.

Working away and lining their pockets the entire time.

the rich/poor divide is much worse than people realise IMO... cooking beans on a radiator for dinner?????

why wont landlords take DSS? Surely its garunteed rent??

at the empty house figures

Report
expatinscotland · 29/11/2006 23:30

Many of these houses might be uninhabitable.

But they can't be arsed to knock them down and rebuild more.

1.56 million families on waiting lists for social housing.

1.56 million.

The way Sarah's mind and good nature are being wasted really make me want to be sick.

Had to borrow off their piss poor parents.

Report
Quootiepie · 29/11/2006 23:35

they are just going backwards surely?? B&B to hostel because of some silly law? Surely the law should be max of 6 weeks in b&b before getting permanent housing??

Horrific - really god fu*king awful!

What a waste of lives.

Those elder kids, all of them were bright and articulate yet missed out on schooling and exams and with all of that the possibility of a brighter future.

And the family that were evicted because the housing benefit cocked up and the other family sitting freezing cold in a bus shelter - not knowing if they had a roof over their heads for hte night - and God that Dad how flipping marvellous was he - so lovely, and kind and caring.

They all deserved so much better than this - all of them

And those that know me, know that I don't normally post this kind of things - but dear me - what kind of society lets this happen?
