Goes without saying parts are distressing, interesting watch.

Deeperdown Wed 15-Jul-15 22:38:09

I am, horrific sad

havemercy Wed 15-Jul-15 22:39:51

Can't watch it, far too distressing.

Deeperdown Wed 15-Jul-15 22:41:10

sad how many tiny kids are in the rescued group.

FujimotosElixir Wed 15-Jul-15 22:42:39

Marrying bloody 9 year olds!

FujimotosElixir Wed 15-Jul-15 22:43:35

Those rescuers are just so brave am in awe.

Deeperdown Wed 15-Jul-15 22:43:40

bloody hell at taking even the elderly to use for blood transfusion sources.

SpendSpendSpend Wed 15-Jul-15 22:44:57

Its awful. Very horrible to watch but no where near as horrible for those actually there.

MissTriggs Wed 15-Jul-15 22:49:49

Watching too

bberry Wed 15-Jul-15 22:54:39

It's just so awful.... We know it's happening but it's unimaginable given the lives we lead here in the west...

I can't stop crying at the sheer horror of it for all those women , children and families...

Rhubarb01 Wed 15-Jul-15 22:55:49

Absolutely horrifying accounts. It was uplifting however, to see the rescues although I felt like crying too.

thenightsky Wed 15-Jul-15 22:59:14

I wanted to see this but forgot. Is it on again in the week does anyone know?

WorzelsCornyBrows Wed 15-Jul-15 23:01:50

It's all so incomprehensible. Those people rescuing the women and children are wonderful, but it's not enough and I just don't know what the answer is. I feel so angry at the world tonight.

messyisthenewtidy Wed 15-Jul-15 23:02:51

I think it's a series, so yes on next week.

I can't believe the mentality of those men, laughing about buying and selling slaves. How can anyone think like that?

I feel so grateful for my life but pretty useless in that there is nothing I could do.

Encyclo Wed 15-Jul-15 23:03:45

Those rescuers have unbelievable courage.

Women are less than dogs in Isis. That stoning will stay with me for a long time.

SurlyCue Wed 15-Jul-15 23:03:55

Just horrific. Unimaginable to me sitting in my cosy dressing gown in my locked house in a safe country. I just cant begin to know what they are going through.

When they do the escapes, the ISIS territory is larger than britain, how are they getting through? Surely they must pass ISIS fighters? A large group is very conspicuous. And also as they crossed the frontline the ISIS point was very visible, couldnt the ISIS fighters see them and the team waiting to meet them?

SurlyCue Wed 15-Jul-15 23:05:05

Its on C4+1 now.

VivaLeBeaver Wed 15-Jul-15 23:06:49

Horrific. One thing I didn't understand.........once the rescued women are back home how safe are they? What's to stop ISIS coming back? Is there better protection now?

BualadhBos Wed 15-Jul-15 23:14:10

It's horrifying to think of the ones who don't get rescued.

CheeseBaguette Thu 16-Jul-15 00:12:31

Urgh. Have just watched this. I feel sick. It brought me to tears. Those poor women.

I feel very angry right now.

Maybe83 Thu 16-Jul-15 00:17:45

I watched and was so sickened thinking of my 13 year old and 2 year old so thankful they are safe in bed.

My dh said what will people a 100 years time make of the horrors being committed now. He compared it to hitler and I agree with him.

The bravery of the rescuers was so inspiring though.

SurlyCue Thu 16-Jul-15 10:36:47

Absoloutely. I wonder how its going to end.

MissTriggs Thu 16-Jul-15 11:00:14

Great programme.

I reread The Handmaid's Tale recently. For these women it's no fiction.

I wonder if MNHQ could campaign or somehow keep a candle burning here?

I cannot believe the heroism of the guides within ISIS territory.

WorzelsCornyBrows Thu 16-Jul-15 15:41:09

MissTriggs I said to my DH it's all very dystopian. It's hard to believe that it's actually happening in reality. I'm still going over it in my head.

Encyclo Thu 16-Jul-15 19:45:52

I'm still processing this television programme. I hope it's shown again. I can't yet absorb that this is happening right now.
