Will and Grace is fab, Big Bang Theory started well but going off the boil a bit

Cheers, ...maybe difficult to get hold of, but that's where Frasier started

Golden Girls...not sure if that will have stood the test of time though
Grace Under Fire....seem to recall that was amusing, again very old

Thanks for all your suggestions! So many great shows i'd forgotten about listed here. I used to love watching Everyone Hates Chris on c5 a few years ago so i think i will definately track that one down. I remember enjoying Grace under fire and the golden girls too!

ShuShu I think the show you were referring to was called the New Normal. It was on e4. they showed the firstseries and thedn it disappeared. Ellen Barkin was in it.
