BT TV or Now Tv

I know this might not be the right topic, but I can't find a technology topic...

I am trying to sort TV out for my new house. I've dismissed Sky because it's going to cost too much for the package I want (box sets for me, at least Nick Jr for my son as his fave programme is on there).

I was looking at BT TV as I will probably use them for my broadband and have had their TV package in the past and liked it. I think you can get a bolt on package for kids tv. But I'm tempted by the Sky channels available on the Now box. It costs a tenner and you can buy an entertainment pass for Nickolodeon, Nick Jr and Sky Atlantic and Sky living (I watch these channels a lot).

Has anybody got one? Is it easy to use? My new TV is a smart tv so I have the catch up channels, but Sky/BT/Now box seem to have those anyway.

Oh, forgot to say I want to be able to record like on sky + and Bt, so does that rule the Now box out? There isn't very much info on the website about how to actually use it, just how to buy it.

I have a Now tv box and I love it! You can't record on it but you can use it as a catch up service too. Plus you get all the free catch up services like itvplayer etc even if you stop your monthly payments for the other services. I also watch YouTube videos through it too. I won't be without my box now.

I have Now TV and I think it's pretty good. It's got some good box sets on it and I think it has nick on as well. I'd recommend it.

Oh I didn't know you could record on it as well that sounds promising. I think I might try this instead of tying myself into an 18 month contract with BT.

It's really hard to get the info I want from the website.
