I'm sure it was explained in one of the previous episodes but where are Paula and Dai? Why is Bobby running the funeral directors?

I think it was said that they've gone on holiday to celebrate getting back together. I'm almost certain that in episode 1 Stella received a postcard saying that they would be away longer than expected smile

CleanHankie Sat 08-Feb-14 08:49:12

Aha! Thanks. I remember the postcard but thought it was from Karl, but maybe he was just referred to

I love stella!

Shame Karl has gone - loved his character!

Happy about the arrival of Patrick Baladi though <shallow>

They seem to have culled quite a few characters. I'm not a fan of Auntie Brenda and don't like the amount of show time she is getting now. But I do like the new next door neighbour and his level of grumpiness. Poor Luke, I wish he could catch a break.

CleanHankie Sat 08-Feb-14 12:16:38

Totally agree about Auntie Brenda. I'm not sure on the new characters, it's kind of lost it's humorous community spirit. And no sign of any rugby in any of these 3 episodes so far!

Love Luke, so glad he's still there else there is no eye candy at all grin

Love Stella, especially Big and Little Alans.

Thought Sonny was the best eye that pervy? Probably.

SlatternMissesherGrumpyCat Sat 08-Feb-14 23:04:47

Have you noticed how tight Luke's shirts are? I'm all for a bit of eye candy and do appreciate a muscular physique, but come on, the boy looks like he is in pain in those shirts!

I loved Carl, or Crazy Carl.

I don't like Auntie Brenda's daughter, and her whole relationship with Ianto is annoying me.

Love this programme. Not keen on auntie Brenda's daughter or the relative of the family running the shop. But love auntie Brenda. And keep sniggering over the petty fights Stella's new neighbour gets in with his ex wife's new boyfriend. This week they fought over a muggrin. But my favourite characters are the funeral directors, the triple barrelled names make me laugh and I can still remember when the younger gay one (name?) waxed daddy's eyebrowsgringringrin

ThoughSheBeButLittle Sun 09-Feb-14 08:00:06

Where has Karl gone? I noticed he wasn't around but Nadine still is?

MyArseIsbiggerThanYours Sun 09-Feb-14 08:14:46

Karl's got a job in the Middle East but he and Nadine are still together.

I quite like the shop owner's niece. I liked the banana splitting when Stella and Michael were arguing over it.

Yes the Michael Jackson characters petty rages are excellent grin and I also love little Alan and big Alan.

I don't like aunty Brenda's daughter either, not sure if she's really welsh but her accent is shocking!
Love anty Brenda though, she's the best character, along with daddy

I'm finding this series rather flat and a bit dull. Missing Rob hugely but also lots of the other 'regulars' and don't much like the new characters. So disappointing when you are looking forward to a new series of one of your favourite programmes.

AngelsWithSilverWings Mon 17-Feb-14 09:50:07

I'm not enjoying this series as much. I really miss Paula and her husband . They were so funny,

I'm still watching but DH has completely switched off from it whereas before it was one of the few programs we could enjoy together. He used to laugh out loud at it but not during this series.

I can't help feeling that this will be the last series.
