Why did Josephine Karlsson destroy the retraction the woman gave about the rape case?

Whose was the head in the plastic bag in the closing shot?

Does Benoit die?

What happened to Berthaud and Clement's burgeoning relationship? IIRC it's not mentioned at all in subsequent series...

Plenty more I'm sure, but if anyone has any answers - or theories - please share!

I loved Spiral but have only watched this series. Josephine destroyed the retraction - no idea why. Not sure about the head thought that might be a storyline in next series. Benoit still in a coma. Not sure about the other stuff....

Hmm, no, series 2 doesn't follow up on any of the outstanding threads from the first series, annoyingly. So we are still in the dark! Anyone??!

Did you see the 2nd series? Because the answers weren't there! Except in establishing the fact that Karlsson is an utter bitch. She would have done that for her own reasons, she is completely heartless and ice cold.

Yep - they showed this series (series one) ages ago and about 6 people watched it, but for some reason - more advertising, I can't remember exactly - series two developed a following, which increased when they showed the third series back in April this year. So they decided to re-show series one again, for the fans who'd missed it first time round (like moi). Hopefully series four is on the way.

Karlsson is extraordinary - what I don't get is why other people like her - Gregory (ahhh, Gregory) almost has a fling with her in series three, despite knowing exactly (well, almost) how utterly devoid of morals/scruples/human emotion she is.

Was so hoping disgusting, hideously creepy Arnaud Laborde would get his bits cut off - or something much worse. But of course, life isn't like that, and so he got away with it...

I was hoping they'd continue and show series 2 then 3 again. Maybe give it enough time for series 4 to be made!

I had thought when I first saw it that the man's body was that of the dad who had abused his daughters but listening again I don't think so!

I think the body at the end is Leborde, I think Michel killed him before fleeing. This is after seeing the first series when it was first broadcast, then when it was first repeated, the dvd in one sitting and now this second repeat and i'm still not 100% sure.

I really would have found that most just auldspinster! He was the creepiest & most realistic "baddie" in a long time!

Hey ... just finished season one. I watched this season ages ago and when it finished I wondered if there was an error in my downloads and I missed the last episode. But there was none! What happened to Laborde etc??? But then I remembered that he reappears in one of the following seasons... getting arrested. Anyone remembers which season and episode this was??
