Teenage skin after accident

This might sound a bit strange but hopefully someone can offer some advice.

My son will be 16 in a few weeks. He has had a few spots but not loads.

Last week he was hit by a car and we spent the day in hospital. Thankfully he is okay and there was no broken bones. It has affected him mentally however but I'm hoping in time it will pass otherwise will look in to counselling. At the moment he is saying he doesn't want it.

Anyway since the accident his face is just covered in red angry spots. It was really weird because when he was in hospital his face had like a film of grease on it and no matter how many times he wiped it away it just came back. Has anyone heard of this before? Could the spots be the result of the stress of the accident?

Can anyone recommend any good creams, washes etc that will help?

Stress can change the pH on skin which can change the balance of microbes living on the skin. Acne is just an infection ultimately. Pharmacist for advice?
