Dropping out of College

If your child drops out of college and refuses to get a job, do you still have to pay child support to the primary caregiver? I'm unclear as to where we stand legally. I won't say at this point whether I am Primary Caregiver or Child Support Payer so I can get a more balanced view...

Thanks in advance

Is the primary care giver then expected to continue to support the child alone?

What is the reason for stopping paying? To encourage the child to return to education/get a job? There are better ways to encourage this without causing the primary care giver financial difficulty.

Legally I don't know the answer, but morally the nrp should both continue to support their child and be allowed to help encourage them towards independence.

No. The 'child' is expected to get a job and pay board.

Not sure why i put child in inverted commas. Maybe because they are almost 18.
