Dear Mums,
My 'little' boy will be 18 in a few months (how did that happen?). Can anyone advise me what this will mean in terms of practical and legal changes? What will I no longer be able to do that I can do when he is 17 and what will he be able to do that he can't do now? I am thinking of areas such as medical, financial, legal. No particular issues here...just wondering.

Not much, from your point of view. You already can't access his medical records and bank details. He will be able to borrow money and buy alcohol. And vote, unless you live in a Crown Dependency or Scotland (although your user name suggests otherwise) in which case he can vote already.
