Teens freedom

I would post this in Aibu but after seeing one about a 13yo left for a couple of hours I’m not brave enough. My 2 dds (nearly 13) and ds (15.5) are on their way home from Camden now (8.10pm), it’s about 30mins on the train. Am I reckless? I do track them with an app and ask them to call in regularly which they do but I’m not sure I’ve got the balance right between giving them some freedom and keeping them wrapped up... do your worst...

Absolutely fine. And why are you tracking them?

I would say it's fine.

Mumsnet is batshit crazy when it comes to teenagers. They should all be cooking their own meals and washing their own clothes but you should never leave them alone or allow them out after 4pm Confused

We have a family app which we can all access to see where we are, if we’ve left school/work etc. In practice I’m not sure they use it much but I find it invaluable when they tell me they’ve taken the dog out for an hour long 5 mile walk but the evidence suggests they ran round the back garden for 10 minutes Grin
