Music tastes

I would be grateful if you could post some of your teens' favourite music. I work with undergraduates so they tend to have very retro or very obscure tastes. Just wondering what your average 16/17 year old is listening to at the moment! Solve a debate about chart music and teens that I'm having...

My 16 year old DD listens to different types of music.
She likes whats popular sometimes and really likes Ariana Grande and sometimes she listens to indie artists, and one of her favorite artists is Lana Del Rey

My ds listens to a wide range of music from 60's to now. Especially likes groups like Echo and the Bunnymen, Smiths, Cure, The Jam. Modern stuff, Damon Albarn, Coldplay, some obscure rap groups. He plays Sa and piano so listens to jazz and classical too.

They also listen to a lot of 00's indie and 90's indie and hip hop as that was all my teenage era, so I've influenced their tastes quite a bit, though they refer to it all as old school which makes me feel old even though I'm only 27

I have 14yo and 16 yo DDs.

My 16yo has very wide ranging tastes - she loves Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Queen, Kate Bush, but also Nina Simone, the Rat Pack, Louis Armstrong, then Fall Out Boy, Pani! At the Disco, Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon and Black Veil Brides.

My 14yo likes most of the above except the jazz and Linkin Park and in addition likes Sleeping With Sirens, All Time Low, The 1975, Blink 182.

I like most of what they like, to be honest. Having teenagers has been a musical education and has really opened my eyes to what's out there.

Nearly 18 year old DS likes alot of 90's stuff.

Nearly 16 year ago is DS is into American HipHop , Drake and crap stuff like that.
