Help just dont know what to do anymore my 15yr old son is stealing money from me all the time.
originally it was to buy food for comfort eating (Like his mother) lol.
So I started about two months ago to buy him his own supply of biscuits/crisps for the week. This worked till the past couple of weeks.
Wont talk to me about it.
Grounding doesnt work.

My son stole a lot of money from me over many months. I felt like I couldn't stop it: I tried 'everything' including grounding, removing privileges, stopping twice as much out of his allowance, etc.

In the end it took a counsellor to point out to me I could stop it, simply by locking away my cash.

It felt like failure but I fitted a lock on my bedroom door and got in the habit of locking away my purse whenever I wasn't actually using it. With hindsight, I think it was a bigger failure not to stop him sooner, because it was clearly outrageous, unacceptable behaviour and he couldn't stop himself. It turned out he was using the money for drugs.
