Best Foundation for Teen Skin?

Hi
I wonder if any of you can recommend a foundation for my dd, she is 14.5 and has I think typical teen skin ( she thinks she has major skin problems !), it's a bit lumpy under the skin mainly on the forehead, no actual erupting spots but it can be a bit on the red side, she's been using a mousse type foundation which we now think is just too oily and possibly clogging her pores and making the lumps worse ?
so, any of you with teen dds have any good tips/suggestions for us to try ?
Thanks

Mousse type foundations are designed for oily skin, they 'suck out' the oils iyswim!
Perhaps you could go in to your mearest boots or department store and ask for a free skin consultation? If she knows what skin type she is she can then buy the best foundation and skincare regime for her needs.

I don't want to come across as old fashioned, but I think I may be so that's how I come across...I think the best foundation for teen skin is no foundation at all. The skin will be better for it and I don't like young teenagers fully made up.

hi
many thanks for your replies - I also posted in style and beauty, will give mineral powder a go and see how that goes.

On the one hand I agree with Cardi, on the other I remember the despair of being a complete spotty muldoon at school and caking myself with the wholly ridiculous cover the blemish,
What about tinted moisturiser, or isn't that covering enough?

Tinted moisturiser and a really good concealer.

i think mineral foundation loose powder is best as it lets the skin breathe, doesnt clog pores therefore no spots or blackheads.

Witch's concealer stick is good, blends in to skin tone and has some mild zapping agents in, then you can go for a lighter foundation on top rather than a really cakey one.
