New website - create own or pay

I'm a therapist and I'm building up my new business alongside working full time.
My website needs to grow with me so to speak, and I've been given a couple of website names where I could create my own.
Just wondering if anyone has done this or is it worth it to have the professionals make one instead?

I made my own Squarespace site. All I needed was an hour with a friend who'd also done this. I've created a professional-looking website with no trouble.

I'm a content writer though and this is where many people fall down. They create a site but then the copy is below professional standard.

I advise you to go with Squarespace as they're so user-friendly. But try to find someone to write your content for you.

Watch some tutorials on Youtube and consider hiring a specialist to help you get your branding right.

Neon, it depends on how interesting for you to make your own site and how much time you have for that. Let's say, if you work extra hour and paid £100, you'd better hire somebody. If you don't have enough clients of if you see site making as a having a rest, then - go for it.
