Small star on wrist

I want to get my first tattoo - a small star on the inside of my wrist. I just want an outline - does it have to be black or can it be navy? And do I take a picture with me or do they have options? Or do I draw it
myself and they copy ? I'm not very artistic so it's not a specific star I want

It can be whatever colour you like. Maybe take the size & type you want in a picture/on a piece of paper.

I only say this because I requested 2 small triangles on my wrist ( means something to me & DH) you wouldn’t think that was hard to do would you? The guy drew it -it’s on a paper they then put on your wrist so leaves the shape they then follow with the needle- and it’s appalling. Wonky, different sizes and out of line, I’m now stuck with it. This was a place recommended to me by someone with several fabulous tattoos!

Obviously there are fantastic artists who can do amazing stuff free hand but I’m just suggesting you take exactly what you want in, that way you won’t be left disappointed like me.

Great advice thank you, sorry you didn't get the triangles you wanted though :-(

Take a picture of it but that could be a drawing you've made. Always give them a physical image of what you have in your head! You can have them in grey if you fee black is too much.

I think thin line tattoos bleed after a few years so bear that in mind. Mine kind of have... or my eyesight has got worse 🤓
