Surrogacy support

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone can suggest the best Facebook groups to join for surrogacy and if they know if the groups are private? ie not showing up on friends news feeds? I understand that the best way to meet people is through chatting. Myself and my husband are at the early stages of discussing surrogacy and it would really help me to have people to speak to. After two years of trying to conceive, we were referred to our local infertility clinic where they discovered I had a very rare form of cancer. In November I had a major operation to remove the rumours which resulted in a full hysterectomy at 30. We had Ivf treatment before my surgery which resulted in six healthy embryos, but the hope had been that my womb would be spared to allow me to carry a pregnant when I recovered. That didn't happen and my world completely changed. I am finding it hard to deal with what cancer took from me, but I am now in remission and looking to move forward with my dream of being a parent. I have looked into surrogacy UK and Cots. But my worry is that my husband has a teenage child from a previous relationship and would this effect our chances of a surrogate 'choosing us'? Why would we be chosen over a completely childless couple? I have so many worries and have already had so much heartache and don't know if I can go through the whole process with an agency for it to be unsuccessful for us. Has anyone else had experience with surrogacy when you already have children? Emotionally, Kirsty
