I want to give my guinea pig (soon to be two) exercise time on the floor, but I am worried about him disappearing under furniture or chewing wires. Can anyone recommend a good playpen affair that stores easily and is fast to put up? Also that’s a good size. The one I have is two small to be much use. I really want to be able to corner off a good bit of the room for maximum running about.

I have a couple of BunnyBusiness runs (used out in the garden) that have sides+roof (no base) . They fold flat

I sometimes use them indoors as an emergency accomodation like Guy Fawkes or when NDN tree threaten to fall (upside down with some cardboard on the base to protect their feet)

Longer term they have C&C in winter, when they come in for Guy Fawkes I just need a couple of nights, I'm not getting the C&C out for that. (They take a while to set up)

The rabbit runs are secure (I put cable ties on the corners) , give them space and ventilation and I have them anyway for outdoors.

Do you have the wooden frame or wire ones? They look possible.z

All wire so they fold up as flat as possible.
I upend them indoors so the roof forms the floor but they do need lined so they don't walk on the wire.

We had to do an emergency decamp before , putting our boar pair in the garage when their shed leaked.
DH and I were (in the pouring rain) , putting old carpet and tarpaulin on the concrete floor, cardboard in the base , a whole bag of barley straw and a bag of hay , then a huge duvet.
The boys loved it , running into their hiding houses and 'glamping' Grin

General question to all gp owners: if you have indoor pigs, do you let them out for runs?

Yes we do, they get to 'run free' slowly waddle to the nearest dark place in our utility room

(ours are only indoor pigs during the winter months)
