She was very elderly, her sister passed away a few months ago so we knew she didn't have long left. Having said that, she was happily eating and squeaking away last night. This morning I was chopping vegetables and she didn't squeak - she would always squeak when she heard me chopping as she knew she'd get some of the veg. I went to check on her and she was gone.
Just like that, alive one minute and gone the next. She was lying peacefully in her bed and hadn't shown any signs of illness or distress, so I'm very grateful for that. So sad to have lost her though, she was very much loved .
