Our little Robbie was taken ill yesterday evening. It happ bed very suddenly and this morning he hadn't touched his food and was laying there, discharge from the eyes.

I am so so sad and kids are so upset. He's in hospital tonight and they said there's a 50/50 chance he'll pull through.

Can we have a little prayer for Robbie? He's the most adorable little boy, always squeaking when he hears his name, gentle and normally so happy to come and play.

Sad

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes, prayers and gifts.

Robbie passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of morning. He was warm in a special little house in the hospital and he had been given pain relief to ease his suffering.

We have just collected him and will bury him in our large field, by the lake where the sun shines all day and the grass is high.

We have made a memory box with his favourite blanker, drawn pictures of our time together and the happy memories he gave us will stay with us Star

RIP Robbie. His resting place sounds perfect as does your plans to commemorate his life. Although a massively sad time for you all, be assured he had the happiest and best life possible with you.
Huge hugs xxx

That sounds like a lovely resting place for a wonderful little pig. Hope the funeral goes well.

On a practical note, please make sure he's buried deep enough to avoid attracting the attention of foxes.

Thank you everyone. Kids kept crying.
He's in a cardboard memorial box now, wrapped up in his snugly with his favourite toy, a carrot and hay.

Yes Fernie, though of foxes. Will make it a deep grave and put some stones on it.

Told the kids his piggy soul is in Guinea pig heaven and he can play and breathe again and feels no more pain and that he's happy as they were worried about him being cold in the grave.

He's only a small snuffly piggy but I cried when the doc told me. RIP Robbie Star

Poor Robbie, and poor you. Flowers they manage to hide being poorly so effectively.

We lost two piggies last year within a couple of weeks of each other and we were so very sad too. Do you have any other piggies left?

Yes two more. A boy and his daughter.

Yes I hadn't heard this before but doctor also said gps hide their illnesses so well until they're very very poorly.
