My guinea pigs are five months old now. They have a chew tube, a wooden chew toy and enjoy both. I'm worried as they are biting on their plastic house type thing. What do I do?

They do like to destroy things (can't give them anything nice )

Most likely they'll just scallop the edges but make sure they have something new and more attractive to chew on (boxes, paper bags, paper bags full of hay ). If they do persist in destroying the plastic, they might need to have it removed.

We have one of those concertina tunnels (plastic) , it's a bit tattered but not too bad.
The sows took charge of the willow hedgehog house (bought for GP1) , it lasted him 3 years, then GP3 took over.
A couple of months with the sows and it has a new doorway Shock. I had to remove it sadly the willowsticks could've caught them.

I might have to go toy shopping tomorrow Grin. They will have more room in the outside hutch but I like them inside and they are still technically babies I think.
